Asia was a suprergroup of various members of progressive rock bands. Steve Howe from Yes, Carl Palmer from ELP, John Wetton from King Crimson, Uriah Heep and a bunch of others, and Geoffrey Downes from....The Buggles? Well, anyway, this isn't the epic prog-rock album you might think it is. Instead what we have here is an enjoyable pop-rock album with lots of catchy choruses and hooky songs. The first three songs are the best, and there a few tracks that haven't aged very well, but for the most part this is a fun album with a great cover. This was also the best selling album of 1982, and it deserved to be.
