Anthrax-Spearding The Disease (1985)       Island Records

1-A.I.R. (5:45)  2-Lone Justice (4:36)  3-Madhouse (4:19)  4-SSC/Stand Or Fall (4:09)  5-The Enemy (5:23)  6-Aftershock (4:29)  7-Armed And Dangerous (5:42)  8-Medusa (4:43)  9-Gung-Ho (4:35)

Is there a more classic Anthrax album than this one? I doubt it. Simply put, one of the greatest thrash metal albums ever released. There isn't a single song on here that doesn't positively shred from beginning to end!

Anthrax-Among The Living (1987)      Island Records

1-Among The Living (5:16)  2-Caught In A Mosh (4:59)  3-I Am The Law (5:57)  4-Efilnikufesin (N.F.L.) (4:54) 5-A Skeleton In The Closet (5:32)  6-Indians (5:40)  7-One World (5:56)  8-A.D.I./The Horror of It All (7:49) 9-Imitation Of Life (4:10)

Excellent follow up to Spreading The Disease! A little more diverse though, adding more elements of hardcore punk to their sound. Still, the songs are all great. I like my thrash metal heavy, fast, and aggressive (like my women....j/k) and AOL certainly delivers in that department! Not my favorite Anthrax album but a very, VERY close second.

Favorite Tracks: All of them

Anthrax-Persistence Of Time (1990)      Island Records

1-Time (6:54)  2-Blood (7:06)  3-Keep It In The Family (7:07)  4-In My World (6:23)  5-Gridlock (5:08)  6-Intro To Reality (3:24)  7-Belly Of The Beast (4:46)  8-Got The Time (2:44)  9-H8 Red (5:02)  10-One Man Stands (5:39)  11-Discharge (4:11)

Okay, now THIS is a killer album. Anthrax crank it up to 11 on this one, and also put out some of their best and darkest songs ever. Their cover of Joe Jackson's "Got The Time" was what initially got me into the band. To this day I think it's a great song, even though I think I prefer the original. The rest of the songs don't slouch either! Every last track is a carefully cut diamond, a black and teeming and toxic diamond of pure molten heavy metal....There's no other word to describe this album other than BRUTAL.

So, did you like how I only own the ones that are any good?

One of the "Big Four" of thrash metal, Anthrax have used their speed, technical skill, and irreverent sense of humor to capture the hearts of many a metalhead over the years.
