AC/DC-High Voltage (1976)         Atlantic Records

1-It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock n' Roll) (5:01)  2-Rock n' Roll Singer (5:04)  3-The Jack (5:52)  4-Live Wire (5:50)  5-TNT (3:34)  6-Can I Sit Next To You Girl (4:12)  7-Little Lover (5:37)  8-She's Got Balls (4:51)  9-High Voltage (4:03)

AC/DC RULES!!!! and this debut proves it. Their three-chord blues licks, their naughty humor, the signature wail of Bon Scott, they're all here, man! So many classic tunes here. I mean, how can you not love a song called "She's Got Balls"? "TNT" was actually the first heavy metal song I really liked. The whole record just makes me want to party like it's 1976 again! Love it.

Favorite tracks: It's A Long Way To The Top, The Jack, TNT, She's Got Balls, High Voltage

AC/DC-Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap        Albert Records

1-Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap  (3:52)  2-Love At First Feel (3:12)  3-Big Balls (2:38)  4-Rocker (2:50)  5-Problem Child (5:46)  6-There's Gonna Be Some Rockin' (3:18)  7-Ain't No Fun (Waiting Round To Be A Millionare) (6:57)  8-Ride On (5:53) 9-Squealer (5:27)

More three-chord rock, twisted blues, demented humor, and rock n' roll skulduggery. Dirty Deeds continues in the same vein as their debut, only this time the songwriting has improved. The title track is without a doubt my all time favorite AC/DC song, and there's even a straight up blues-ballad in "Ride On". I've always thought "Big Balls" was pretty funny too. Just another fun record from the boys down under.

Favorite Tracks: Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Big Balls, Rocker, Problem Child, RIde On

AC/DC-Let There Be Rock (1977)      Albert Records

1-Go Down (5:31)  2-Dog Eat Dog (3:34)  3-Let There Be Rock (6:06)  4-Bad Boy Boogie (4:27)  5-Problem Child  (5:24)  6-Overdose (6:09)  7-Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be (4:21)  8-Whole Lotta Rosie (5:24)

Same ol' same ol' for the AC/DC crew...not that that's necessarily a bad thing. This album has lsome good and meaty tracks, mainly the title track and "Whole Lotta Rosie". "Overdose" is a cool song too, but the rest is rather forgettable. Not a bad album by any means, but not one of my favorites by them. Sorry boys, better luck next time.

Favorite Tracks: Let There Be Rock, Overdose, Whole Lotta Rosie

AC/DC-Back In Black (1980)     Atlantic Records

1-Hells Bells (5:12)  2-Shoot To Thrill (5:17)  3-What Do You Do For Money Honey (3:35)  4-Givin The Dog A Bone (3:31)  5-Let Me Put My Love Into You (4:15)  6-Back In Black (4:15)  7-You Shook Me All Night Long (3:30)  8-Have A Drink On Me (3:58)  9-Shake A Leg (4:05)  10-Rock N' Roll Ain't Noise Pollution (4:26)

What is there to say about Back In Black? Being one of the best selling albums of all time, it's got a lot of hype around it, even today, 30 years after it was released. That just goes to show how great an album it really is. New vocalist Brian Johnson brings something new to the band. He adds his own unique energy and charisma in the same way Bon Scott did, and of course the Young brothers still pull off some wild guitar shenanigans. A few clunkers, but overall a great hard rock record in the grand AC/DC fashion.

Favorite Tracks: Hells Bells, Back In Black, You Shook Me All Night Long, Have A Drink On Me

Does AC/DC really need an introduction? If you don't know who they are, GET OUT. They're only one of the best, most famous, and biggest selling rock n' roll bands of all time, continuing to be enormously popular and sell millions of records almost 4 decades after they're first album came out!
